APIDEL, a multinational firm follows western timing, 6pm to 4 am IST as working hours. This allowed a definite save from the city’s unsparing heat during the day but it also meant losing out on natural daylight completely. The motto was to design a working space that allows to be “more productive, stay focused and less stressed.” The employees were pack of young 20's, so we decided to give fresh & youthful buzz to ensure a sense of lively involvement.
Punch of yellow with grey and white colors in foreground, also encompassed in ceiling made of metal grating gives a peculiar appearance to the reception area. The grating imparts a weightless porous feel to space while efficiently concealing services within it. The area was limited to serving as a transition space between the entrance and the working spaces.
